Hitch-Hikers' Handbook

Hello travellers and photographers from around the world! As every week, we have for you three stunning photos which were sent by our contributors and won you over.  This week we will have a closer look at the three pictures  which gathered the biggest amount of votes on our Facebook page between 13th and 20th March.

The first winner shows a Nubian sailor on the Nile River, near Aswan, Egypt.

The Nubian people are an ethnic group originally from Nubia, a region located along the River Nile in northern Sudan, and southern Egypt. In ancient times Nubians were famous for their great skills with the bow and arrow.

The Nile is generally considered the longest river in the world and it’s 6,650 km long.
