The Secret Life of Plants

The three little pot plants who live on my windowsill.

Three little pot plants sitting in row, balanced on a ledge near my window.

Heights decline by way of left to right, with stark shadows cast in the fading days light.

To avoid winter’s weather, these three did hide; the whole season together, tucked away warm inside.

I’d lie to say I’m not remiss, to wish my life was as simple as this.

How lucky are they, to sit in the sun all day,

it must be true what they say; Ignorance is bliss.
