A tattered Filipino flag, waving in the sea breeze

A tattered Filipino flag, waving in the sea breeze. Taken on White Beach in Boracay in the Autumn of 2012. Attached to one of the rickity old sail boats that will ferry you around the island for pennies, I captured this while doing a casual portrait shoot with its “Captain.” I really like this shot because the sun in the sky replaced the faded golden sun on the flag.  The sun on their flag is basically the equivalent of the stars on the US flag, you can read more about it here

Camera: Nikon D3100, 18-55mm lens
