Sky Warrior

Sky Warrior

A double exposure shot of a stormy old crow and a young woman, captured on a mountain peak.

After what seemed like an unnecessarily steep hike to the summit of Gyeryongsan Mountain, I was able to get a load of great shots of the surrounding landscapes and valleys that spilled off the mile high peak. It was on a craggy and barren outcropping of rock where I was inhaling the silence of the heights, when I noticed all these large crows struggling against the wind. The other was a bit more staged. I felt the black and white Holga filter added tension and a sense of mystery to the shots. The juxtaposition between the two is great as well; I just regret it keeps you from seeing the tumble of hills in the distance. I’ve included the photos separately below.

Camera: Nikon D3100, 18-55mm lens w/ a Holga Filter
